The shortlist

Boats we looked at

Weldcraft, Duckworth, used Raiders, Pop comps — and the Coastal 230 path that won. Showing the field is the point.

New build path · Jan 2026

Weldcraft 210 Revolution

Reed Yacht Sales — Hunter Ball

Why we looked

Aluminum fishing platform with a clear build-request process. Felt like a legitimate first serious option.

Why not / outcome

Kept comparing ride, layout, and long-term fit against Raider. The Selkirk conversation pulled harder once the Delta / Coastal path opened.

Dealer conversation · Jan 2026

Duckworth

Tobler Marina

Why we looked

Another aluminum name in the same class — worth a real look before locking money.

Why not / outcome

Didn't win the gut check once Raider build options and used inventory were side by side.

Used market · Jan–Apr 2026

Used Raider 210 Explorer

Pop Yachts — Paula Bushell (Stockton CA, Vancouver WA, etc.)

Why we looked

Already-built Raiders with Alaskan hardtops, rod holders, electronics — faster to the water than a factory slot.

Why not / outcome

Used meant someone else's options and unknown hours. Wanted the Coastal 230 configured for Cumberland use.

Chosen path · Jan–Feb 2026

Raider 21 Delta → Coastal 230

Selkirk Marine — Kylo Matlock

Why we looked

Direct build sheet, real back-and-forth, room to size up when the Delta started feeling short.

Why not / outcome

This is the one ordered. Full options on The Build.

Why we looked

North River Seahawk 23, Polar Kraft Bay 210, Avid FS21, Stabicraft 659, Crestliner Tournament, Hewescraft Ocean Pro, Lunds, Edge Marine hard cab — the noise of shopping.

Why not / outcome

Useful calibration. None replaced a custom Raider on this river.
